'Time Out' for 'Bombay Dreams'
The musical makes the cover

The Taj in the background, a classic Broadway femme fatale, fringed dress for Ayesha Dharker, a saucy peekaboo look for Anisha Nagarajan, big hair all around, and ‘South Asian’ used appropriately in the teaser ribbon. The banner font is vaguely Middle Eastern, but it doesn’t flaunt it like Disney’s ‘Aladdin.’

The Taj is over the top, but most of this cover’s peccadilloes have to do with being badly dressed. Not bad.

Update: Check out the 16-page section on desis in New York.
