Cherry blossoms
       
The cherry blossom festival in Washington last weekend drew Japanese by the busload. Waves of petals streaming off trees in the breeze reminded me of anime, the feathers in 'True Romance,' John Woo's ominous doves, the all-white decor at Tamarind in NYC. All pastel, yet so very moody.
